Have you ever had the experience where, in listening to music, the sound seems to be coming all around you and down from above through the top of your head?
Talk about surround sound! God the experience of sitting in the absolute center of a Yurt and start toning or humming, try speaking even, the experience is amazing. It truly comes straight down through the top of your head as the shape of the roof and its circular form turn the sound up somehow and then down through what could be a column or tube like area only about half a metre in diameter, straight through your head if its in the way.
Why is this so, I would really like to hear from anyone with a bright notion as to how or why this happens?
It’s a great sound dome venue!!!!
