For over 5 years now GHS has been importing Traditional Yurts. During this time we've been constantly up-grading our designs and the quality of the associated products.

One such component has been the outer canvas shell. We have tried and tested many fabrics made in China and Mongolia but nothing we have found so far comes up to the quality of Australian made Canvas for durability, weather-proofing, colour choices, resistance to mould and fireproofing longevity.

Australian canvas also comes with a 5 year guarantee which we were unable to secure in China.

In the interest of customer satisfaction and confidence we have now opted for this quality of canvas as a standard item, with all other components being imported from Inner-Mongolia.

This means the frame, the door, the windows, ropes, lining and felt insulation. Whether it be Polyester or Pure Wool, they will be sourced from Inner-Mongolia.

• Our canvas covers are handmade in Australia offering very high quality craftsmanship and detail from guaranteed Polyester-Cotton fabric by Brella. Its Fire proofed, Ripstopped and Bio-Seal finished.
  
• The design does not include windows or awnings, it is a plain shell cover.
• Windows, Awnings and Shades are made to order at an extra cost.
• There are numerous colours available for design applications.
• Recommended for tropical and high rainfall areas.
• Generally longer lasting than the basic canvas covers offerred in imported traditional Yurt Construction kits.
